The Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Conference (AITCAP) arrives in Melbourne/ Naarm next month on August 27 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, hosted by GetAboutAble.

Now in its fourth year, this annual event is for all tourism business owners and managers, policy makers, and industry professionals wanting to learn more on creating and developing accessible and inclusive experiences.


Hear key speakers from Tourism Australia, Victoria Tourism Industry Council, Austrade, the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, Metro Trains, City of Melbourne and many more as they discuss a variety of research, ideas and tourism insights focused on the accessible tourism industry.

  • Take to the water with Yarra River Waterbike Tour
    Want a unique way to explore the Yarra River? Taking in Melbourne’s landmarks and iconic buildings, on a Waterbikes Australia tour. With the crew from Waterbikes Australia creating a safe and supportive environment, take to the water on a customised experience for people with disabilities.


  • Up, up and away with Global Ballooning Australia
    There’s no greater thrill than a hot air balloon ride, for an eagle eye view over Melbourne. With daily flights, this award-winning experience tailors their trips for all abilities using their Easy Access Basket (EAB), enabling passengers who use mobility aids to experience the joy of flight along with their family and friends.


  • Row, row, row your GoBoat
    Be the captain of your own aquatic adventure with an electric picnic boat. With GoBoat Australia you can rent a boat, pack a picnic and tour the Yarra, all without a boat licence. Wheelchair users can be accommodated with the removal of the table in the centre of the boat. They can then be assisted by experienced staff to get on board.


  • Extreme adventure at Melbourne CablePark
    Visit Victoria’s only cable wakeboarding park, with an overhead cable system pulling riders around the lake on a wakeboard or kneeboard. This adventure experience is now accessible to wheelchair users with a special fleet of modified boards.


  • Picture this, at ArtVo Melbourne
    Australia’s first immersive, ‘trick-art’ gallery! ArtVo is located in Melbourne’s Docklands, enter a fantastical world of optical illusions, with larger than life murals that stretch over 1400 square meters with a variety of different zones to take a 3D style selfie or happy snap of your great day out.
